SEMHAC brings together community members to develop a coordinated regional response to HIV/AIDS in Southeast Michigan. In line with the national strategy, SEMHAC works towards a future where HIV infections are rare and when they do occur, every person regardless of age, gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or socioeconomic circumstance, will have unfettered access to high quality, life-extending care, free from stigma and discrimination.
Fighting for those who are infected and ensuring the services they need are available is SEMHAC's goal!
SEMHAC helped me to see that MY VOICE can be heard and POSITIVELY impact the lives of those infected/affected with HIV!
"Being a part of SEMHAC has made me more AWARE OF THE NEED for community education and stigma reduction surrounding HIV"
